Accreditation: Currently Costa Rica Study Abroad, S.A works in cooperation with Northern Illinois University and North Central College and Wisconsin University at Eau Claire sponsoring study abroad programs for academic credit acceptable to most US colleges and universities. There are three programs not sponsored in conjunction with a U.S. College or University and thus academic credit is not automatically granted. Should you be interested in the possibility of obtaining academic credit, and if you are currently enrolled in a U.S. College or University, you should check with the Study Abroad Office or the Office of the Registrar and inquire about the possibility of obtaining academic credit at your home institution for any of these programs. Costa Rica Study Abroad, S.A has worked successfully with students and U.S. Colleges and Universities on a case by case basis to make arrangements for academic credit for the above-mentioned programs.
